LIVE RECORDING – ACANTHUS ROSETTE IN ORNAMENTAL ART

An acanthus rosette is a classical ornamental motif formed by arranging stylised acanthus leaves in a circular, radiating pattern. Inspired by the natural acanthus plant, widely used in Greek and Roman decoration, it combines structured geometry with flowing, organic forms.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamental structure of an acanthus rosette and how to build a symmetrical base using simple geometry. You’ll also explore techniques for drawing flowing acanthus leaves, creating rhythm and depth, and refining your design, along with ways to use rosettes in larger ornamental compositions.
